Here's me in an orange grove in the Temecula Valley in SoCal (southern California) last week. Don't I look happy to be surrounded by all that goodness? After a fabulous unwind, I am ready to don my apron and get back in the kitchen! I haven't blogged or cooked lately and I'm Jonesin', as you can imagine, LOL. Look for some new posts, pictures and stories as I get myself together for spring and summer. If I don't make some artichokes pretty soon here, I'm gonna start spazzin'.... Talk to you real soon. I feel the need for some fava beans too.... and a nice Chianti, LOL.
Love you,
C U Soon,
Katie
P.S. Game Night at Chateau de Lorenzo has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 6th. Gotta re-start my engine and get my game on one more time. Stay with me on this one....
Katie Goes Wild, Part II ~ coming to your computer screen soon
Glad you're back Katie -- I am just getting ready to try Cotes de Porc a l'Auvergnate, Pork chops baked with cabbage, this afternoon. From a Time Life Books "Foods of the World" pamphlet, published 1968. Wish me luck :D
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy.... Good luck with your dish today. I have a feeling it will be perfect. Pork & cabbage on a day like today is just what the doctor ordered. Let us know how it turns out! Bon Appetit' Mademoiselle!
ReplyDeleteVery, very good ...husband took one bite and said, "mmmmff ... oh, yeah," always a good sign. Daughter wants it for her birthday dinner next December. I served it just with plain toast. The trouble is, it didn't look too pretty. It's so difficult to photograph meat sometimes!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear it Nancy.... I'll let you know if I come across any interesting old recipes that I think you might like. ttys, katie
